President Danny Faure highlighted the Seychelles’ commitment to elevate the blue economy to the top of the global development agenda, especially in Africa, at the global conference in Kenya on the sustainable blue economy on Monday.
According to State House, Faure said that “as champion for the development of the blue economy in Africa, announced at the AU Extraordinary Summit in Addis Ababa last week, I am proud to commit to doubling Seychelles’ efforts to work with all AU member states and partners to fully integrate the blue economy across all our policies and programmes in Africa.”
The head of state of Seychelles is attending the conference from November 26-28 at the invitation of the President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta. The theme of the conference is ‘the Blue Economy and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development….
