Poland plans to open an honorary consulate in Seychelles, the newly accredited Polish ambassador to the island nation told President Danny Faure on Tuesday.
Ambassador Jacek Bazański said that Faure accepted the offer “without any hesitation.”
“I asked him to give me around three to five months to find a good candidate to fill the post of honorary consul of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Seychelles,” said Bazański.
The ambassador told journalists that by having a consulate in Seychelles – a 115-island archipelago in the western Indian Ocean – it will be easier to assist Polish visitors who are facing challenges, such as a loss of passport, during their stay.
