Produces insightful and factual News reports; current affairs, and sports programmes in line with SBC’s inform and educate mandates. News is the flagship programme of the SBC and its most viewed daily content.

Develops, produce and schedule compelling content for Radyo Sesel and Paradise FM including pre-recorded programmes and live interactive on-air shows covering SBC’s inform, educate and entertain mandates.

Develops and produces television programmes that provide a balance of information, enlightenment and entertainment for all ages, interests and tastes. The department is also responsible for the acquisition of foreign content as well as the scheduling and transmission of all TV programmes.

Provides internal support to enable output section to deliver content in line with SBC’s mandate and support all other aspects of operations.

Generates and collects revenue and provides support for public and stakeholder relations, international relations and communications. The multimedia team manages SBC’s multimedia platforms.

Ensures that SBC has a professional and high-performing workforce that can deliver in an ever-evolving broadcasting landscape and also provides administrative support to ensure that the workplace and facilities are fit for purpose.

Manages financial resources according to accounting standards.

Oversees the infrastructures to provide comprehensive broadcast coverage and high-quality reception. The Technology unit ensures that appropriate broadcast technology is available; constantly updated and also supports the delivery of programmes onto multimedia platforms.
